Laulasmaa Kool

Estonia

The Estonian partner is a pre-school with approximately 185 children, in the age of one to seven years old. The pre-school is part of the municipality Lääne-Harju vald, that has the agenda for a 'green municipality'. The goal of the 'green municipality' is to invite people to think more about natural and cultural values at every level - in communities, municipalities, and among entrepreneurs. The bigger goal is to create a model of self-government with a people-friendly, economical and smart way of life. The green municipality is sustainable because regional natural and cultural values have been preserved and healthy and happy people live here.

The "Green School" program brings an environmentally sustainable way of thinking into the daily activities of the school or kindergarten, and helps to implement it systematically and comprehensively. This contributes to the formation of responsible, environment-friendly and valuing people.
